Welcome to our website! We are glad you stopped by for a visit. Let me tell you a little about Odom's Tennessee Pride.

Tennessee Pride was started in 1943 by my grandfather, Douglas Odom Sr. with a lot of assistance from my grandmother, Louise Odom. Having been in the meat business all his life, he knew a thing or two about how to make sausage. Finally, after experimenting with different spice formulas, he hit upon what is now known as the "secret recipe" that makes Tennessee Pride flavor so great. Well, the rest is history as they say.

My dad, Douglas Odom Jr., and his brother Richard succeeded my grandfather as the second generation leadership. I am proud to make up the third generation of family leadership for our company.

From the first pound produced in 1943 'til now, there are several key factors that make our products and our company successful:

• You, our customer
• Our commitment to quality
• Our commitment to good taste
• Our commitment to food safety
• Our associates

We make every effort each day to not compromise the quality or flavor or our products. I know it can be hard for those of us who live inside the business each day to think like our customers, but that is what we try to do each day in an effort to better serve your needs and meet your high standards. The last thing we want is to not deliver on our promise to you.

In today's world where things are measured in parts per trillion, our industry is increasingly challenged to get better at providing safe food for our customers. Tennessee Pride is an industry leader in thinking and being "food safe." That is our commitment to you.

You know, I could say all the right things about how great our products are. Of course, I am a little biased. However, it is our 700 dedicated associates that truly make all of our great products and make sure they arrive at the store or warehouse so you can "pick up a pound or two of Tennessee Pride." From manufacturing to sales, from procurement to billing, everyone touches some aspect of our business and it is through them that the great taste of Tennessee Pride has survived the test of time, for over 65 years.

And, to you, our loyal customers, we give the most thanks. Because you keep coming back time after time to pick up Tennessee Pride we can can enjoy some measure of success. On behalf of all of the associates of Tennessee Pride, I thank you. We will continue to strive each day to never disappoint you. May God truly bless each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Larry D. Odom
President
