We have three different types of dating for our products.

BIUB (Best IF Used By) - Products with this type of dating should be displayed and stored frozen until prepared and are best if used by the date printed on the package.

UBFB (Use BY/Freeze By) - Products with this dating should be displayed refrigerated and used by the date printed on the product or frozen before the date. If freezing the product, it should be done before the printed date for better flavor.

Manufacturing Date - This is the numerical code date that refers to the date the product was produced and at what plant.

Coupons are occasionally available on our website in the “What’s New/ Offers” section. You can also find them in daily newspapers, Sunday paper inserts, general interest magazines and as part of promotions provided by food stores selling Tennessee Pride products.

Unfortunately, we do not have coupons available for mailing. By watching closely for any coupons provided in publications or promotions by local food stores, coupons may be available. In addition, check our website “News & Events” page for listings of current marketing campaigns and events that could include coupons.

Tennessee Pride is carried in many stores nationwide. We do not currently have full distribution in all markets. If you are having difficulty finding our products, please ask your local store if they carry them or are able to order. If you are still having trouble locating our products, please feel free to contact us.

These will be listed either in or adjacent to the ingredients statement.

At this time we do not have a comprehensive list of products that contain gluten. However, as a general guideline, any of our sausage products that only contain sausage (patties, links, 1lb rolls) do not contain gluten. The products that do contain gluten are our sandwich products, sausage balls and sausage gravy.

Although our products are labeled in compliance with government regulations, you should always read the labels on the products to determine if the food product meets your required needs. Parents and individuals with food allergies and/or food intolerances are responsible for reading the label of all products they intend to use. Products should be used or frozen before the "Use By Freeze By" date printed on the product.

Refrigerator Storage - The refrigerator should be kept at a temperature between 33° F to 38° F. Check the temperature frequently with a refrigerator/freezer thermometer.

Freezer Storage - The freezer should be kept at a temperature of 0° F or below. Check the temperature frequently with a refrigerator/freezer thermometer.

Storage Charts

The chart below shows how long different food items can be stored under different conditions. When freezing food, most can be stored in the freezer longer than suggested below and still be safe to eat, but the quality and texture of the food will be affected. Food items that are going to be stored for any period of time should be purchased before the "use by" or "expiration" date.
